well it went something like this...
first try to picture two 8 yr old girls in their sunday dresses(not to mention Reagan's dress is retired, it is too short)...ok now that you have that set here it goes...
Reagan pulling her dress up just enough that her friend could see her thigh she says "my thighs are fat!" her friend looks down at her own tummy pops it out and Reagan says "your fat too!" and her friend proceeds to play with her own tummy chubs and the 2 girls just laugh together about it!
So moral of the story... I need to keep my "I FEEL FAT" comments to my self more often! I am a girl so I will probably always think those thoughts but today although funny I realized she looks up to me so much more than I was aware. I am glad they are only 8 bc I know it will not always end up in giggles:( I don't want her growing up worrying or feeling like she is not beautiful or in tip top shape more than the world already causes us to feel.
Now let's face it her and I are the only ladies in the house and I do from time to time ask her if my butt looks good in my jeans and she on her own sometimes tells me my butt looks good in my jeans! We do have to stick together:) All women should love the body they are in whether in a process to improve or just maintaining we should feel beautiful! I know that is not easy! But I hope to raise her to feel that way inside and out!
Here's to a week without any out-loud self image body bashing at my house... wish me luck!
