Randomness...

I have been thinking a lot lately(what else do you have time to do when your kids are sick;) and I realized that I haven't set any new years resolutions! Ry set some, and even when he was telling me his(like 2 weeks ago) it didn't even cross my mind that I hadn't for myself. I still have no ideas, except to maybe figure out a name for this baby;) So my goal is to figure out 2 things I want to improve on in the next year. I will post them, that way they are more public and I will feel more responsibility to work on them.

Updates around the house...
- I have freaking gained 20 lbs;( (guess I just realized one of my goals, to get back to my pre-prego weight)
- Payt still has a fever and an awful cough(the ones that make him puke a little from coughing so hard!)
- Reag is soaring through math and spelling and... well she loves school! SHE LOVES MATH! I am so happy about that, I just hope she keeps that through out the rest of her school days, I sucked at it and know I am soon not going to help her with her homework!
-RY AND I WENT OUT ON A DATE! after this last week, (no wait month) I REFUSED TO LET HIM GET OUT OF IT!!!! IT WAS SO NICE TO GET AWAY, we didn't even do anything super exciting, but to be alone with the love of my life, share dinner, walk around a furniture store and dream a little and let him watch me eat a LARGE delicious ice cream by myself was more than I could have hoped for. It was exactly what I needed to rejuvenate myself to come home and keep on going;) THANKS RY!!!
-Gav is still coughing but doing well and whining just fine. Is it me or are the TERRIBLE TWO'S continually changing age?

I know the last few posts I have done have been about sick and miserable things have been around here, but in the end I love my family and am grateful to be the mom of 3(almost 4) amazing kiddos! and it's nice to vent!

SPOKE TO SOON...

Okay, when I said we were done with all that poop/puke/cough etc... I meant that we were super sick of it all! And well, I spoke to soon. I was up at 4a.m. cleaning up oreo vomit off of the carpet! Needless to say I freaked out! I was grumbling as I cleaned it, stomping my feet as I walked back and forth (like a 4 yr old) but after how much freaking puke and poop I have cleaned up this season I felt VERY justified;) I then just had a really good cry(4a.m.) sobs and all. Ryan just held me he was so sweet, it was just what I needed. Then to make it worse, I woke up (7:30ish) to Reagan and Gavin racing to the toilet before they pooped pants. Reagan didn't make it! Otherwise they have made it. Payton is ok so far. (I am going to regret that) So I am not posting about health ever again. And if we are still sick when the baby comes I am moving out! Anyone have a vacant room!;)

Still Alive...

Yes we are all still alive! We are done with all the colds/flus/coughs/wheezing/diahreah/throw up/sinus infections/ loss of voices/fevers/gas;)... you name it we have had it. We are SO DONE! Hopefully all of those things are done with us too. Other than that things are going well. Life is good. We are still clueless on names. Keep em' coming! Hope all is well for everyone else. Soon I hope I can post something fun bc that would mean we have done something fun;) Not so much lately.
Oh I did get some super awesome deals(thanks Bobi) on some clothes last week. So cute! otherwise nothing exciting!

HOORAY!

I am glad to say it's a UTI! I know how can I be excited about that? Well you see, I have been having "contractions" (like the belly hardening ones, along with braxton hicks) and I am not far enough for that to be OK so I called and told the Doc what was up and she said "could you come pee in a cup?" Sometimes the so called "contractions" can be sort of mistaken by a UTI! Otherwise we were most likely looking at another LONG 4 month bed rest and I DID NOT WANT THAT, so now you understand why I am HOORAYING my UTI. I have no pain and no other signs of it so I didn't get it, but my pee doesn't lie;) In the mean time I am to drink tons of water as always and start resting a bit more than I am trying to now.

Here are the dirty details!

Ok I said more info so here it goes...
The ultra sound tech takes us back tells me to get naked j/k. She did ask me to pull my pants down! hahahah I'm so funny! (once you get through all of this you will understand why I am finding humor in this situation) Ok so I bear my belly and the ultra sound begins. She takes all the measurements. Then she says I will go show the Doctor and he will come talk to you for minute. The doctor not only comes in to talk to us but grabs the probe and does a 2nd ultra sound himself. (at this point I was a little nervous, with Payton the doc didn't do the ultra sound AGAIN personally) He said "I see some signs of a few things, you have extra amniotic fluid, more than we like to see at this point in your pregnancy"(immediate RED FLAG goes up) the few things he lists are cleft pallet(which he ruled out right away) & a diaphragmatic hernia; An abnormal opening in the diaphragm that allows part of the abdominal organs to migrate into the chest cavity, occurring before birth.

As soon as he said those words I thought, you have got to be shitting me. (Yes I swear out-loud and in my head;) in this case it was in my head. Then I came back to the present and asked the Doctor if he saw one??????? He cleared our fears (for a minute anyways) by saying I see a definite line separating the diaphragm from the chest and no bowel where is should not be. "BUT"... he says, "with the extra fluid it causes me to be concerned and want to watch you very closely." The next thing I want to know is can the hernia reoccur at this point? I am thinking NO for sure where the diaphragm is visible, but to my surprise the hernia can manifest later in the pregnancy! WHAT & HOW???? So he wanted me to come back in 4-6 weeks to redo the ultra sound. Then he asked me some ?'s about previous pregnancies and birth weights. I told him our babies are always small even at term. That lead to another panel of ?'s. Which lead him to become more concerned and I am now on the COME IN EVERY 4 WEEKS UNTIL DELIVERY FOR REPEAT ULTRA SOUND & START STRESS TESTS AT 30 WEEKS to watch the growth of the baby!! And a CRAP LOAD of blood work. (which is a pretty funny story)
So there you have it. I hope you can understand my way dumb "humor"!
We are however extremely grateful that we have this Doctor and that he wants to keep an eye on things. We shouldn't miss anything this way!(cross your fingers) and if for some crazy reason we are to go through a repeat of Gavin's ordeal, the procedure would most likely take place in-utero! totally amazing and crazy! But we are staying optimistic that this is all just being cautious and all will be well.

Here he is... his pre-debut!;) Ryan and I can already see the resemblance with the other kids. In the nose especially! They didn't give us the "proof" picture. Next ultra sound I am getting one for sure;) But it was clear!
**SIDE-NOTE: WE NEED HELP WITH NAMES! WE HAD A GIRL NAME PICKED OUT BUT IT IS NOT A UNISEX NAME. WE HAVE A PATTERN OF ENDING IN THE 'N' SOUND. WE ALSO WANT TO USE RYAN AS THE MIDDLE NAME. some 'n' ending names sound good with other 'n' ending names! SEND US YOUR IDEAS!!!**
