Great Abundance

We have been so blessed with an awesome garden. We picked these tomatoes just this morning alone. And there are still hundreds out there waiting to be ripe. It's so fun and such a feeling of accomplishment to be doing it. And man do we love tomatoes right off the vine!

Canning, Sitting Up, and Crawling!

CATCHING UP ON MY BLOGGING!!
Sorry everybody, I know I have posted two already today but I want them to be in there own seperate blog entries. That would be one long blog and would not tie into each other at all. So I am doing them in chunks through out the day when I grab a minute to myself.

We have shared pics of our house but I don't think we ever put pics of all of our trees. Well as we all know it is canning season and I could not live here and let all of this fruit go to waste, I couldn't live with that. So canning season has happened all at my house. Probably twice a week for the past month and a half. My mom, sister, grandma and I have been canning our hearts out. We did cherrie pie filling, applesauce, apple pie filling, peaches, pears, apricots, apricot jam and finishing up this week or next with plums. I am going to make some plum jam/syrup and then put my left over apples and plums together and juice them. What an amazing feeling I have had looking at my cupboards knowing I did that. It makes me feel so good that I am going to be able to teach my kids how to can and I can do it myself someday because my mom and grandma have taught me. Everything Put Away!

Payton has been keeping me busy especially while I was canning.  He has been sitting up well for a while but now he is crawling.  I had to coop him up in the walker while we were busy with all the hot pots boiling in the kitchen.  But holy cow, that does not stop him or slow him down when he gets out of the walker.  He is moving a lot.  It's fun but I am sad that he is getting so fast.  My last baby and he is crawling and almost has his bottom two teeth.  So yeah now I am caught up... I think;)  

Birthday Moments!

It was my Birthday on Friday! I had a good day.

Ryan surprised me Thursday with dinner and a movie. He text me and said be ready by 5 p.m. So I was ready by 5 when in walks my brother and says get out you go with Tyson(my brothers friend that got sucked into helping) So I went and ended up at a local restaraunt. He told me get out he should be here. I walked into Texas Roadhouse and actually wasn't sure if he was there yet or what I was supposed to do. Well a hostess walked up to me and said come with me I can take you right to your table. So I went with her and there Ryan sat with a red rose and gift card for me. He is so cute, we had a great dinner and then walked to the Theatre and saw Hanckock. It was good, different but good. My grandma watched the kids even the baby(which is hard for me to do when I am nursing.)

So that was Thursday.

Friday my mom took me to look for some black heels. No luck, YET! We will find the right pair. While we were shopping Ryan and the kids had made me some yummy desert and pizza. They are so good to me. We had a good day.

In Loving Memory...

This man is the voice of Idaho!  He was in a scuba diving accident in Hawaii while on family vacation.  Wayne was taken off of life support with his family by his side Sunday night @ 10:30p.m. in Hawaii.  

As long as I can remember Wayne Richards was the voice everyone knew from Classy 97.3 in Idaho or 92.9 in Utah.  He was the man that did the Melaleuca Fireworks Presentation and tons of commercials with his great voice.  I didn't know him personally but he was always funny and caring and personal on the air.  I remember getting ready  for school or for stake dances back in the day listening to him on the radio. My thoughts and prayers are with his family this day. May god be with his family 'til they meet again. 

This makes me stop and reflect on my own life.  This man was on vacation with his family.  We never know when or where or what is going to happen.  I am striving to be a better wife and mother, but I have my days.  I only want to be a good person and have all of my ducks in a row all of the time.  It does not happen every day because like everyone else on the planet I am far from perfect.  Ya know.  It makes you think the little things matter most in life and what other things can be pushed off for now.  News like this makes me want to curl up in a GIGANTIC blanket with my sweet Hubby and my beautiful children and hold each other and know all is well today.  All we can do is Keep On Keepin' On!!

Reagan in Kindergarten?

It's true! She is in Public school now.  I cannot believe how fast time flies.  She is such a sweety.  So far she loves every minute at school.  She has made lots of friends.  On our way home from school I asked if she had made any new friends and she said "yes, a hundred and 55."  Wow, that is lots of friends.
